Our Event Venue
If you're planning a special event - wedding, reunion, birthday or any other - our outdoor event venue just might be the perfect place to hold it. Our 12 acre farm is located on Puget Island in the lower Columbia River. Our pastoral surroundings create a quiet, out-of-the-way and beautiful event setting - located within a reasonable drive from Portland or Astoria, Oregon and Longview, Washington.
"Rustic Elegance" is how we describe our venue. The different venue elements described below allow you lots of flexibility to design your event just the way you want it. Check it out, then visit our Rentals page for more information on what we have to offer.
The Pavilion and The Pad
The Pavilion is a 442 square foot "L" shaped structure that can be used in a variety of ways to support your event. Picture an intimate dinner for a small group or set a formal buffet for a large group here. The west side overlooks the orchard and has steps to provide access to it. The front is open to a large gravel pad which easily holds a large rented 40' X 40' tent to seat up to 150 guests for dinner with a beautiful grape arbor as a backdrop along one side. Access to the patio is on the east side of the structure. An antique wooden ladder hangs from the ceiling of the pavilion and lighting is installed for events that continue after dark.
The Patio and Pergola
A 1600 square foot paver patio with a vine covered pergola focal point provides a hardscape where a wedding ceremony, small concert, dance or dinner could be set. The space is surrounded by lush landscaping that defines and encloses the space for intimacy. Surrounded by outdoor light strings and lighting in the roof of the pergola provide a nice ambiance after dark. Four access points provide ingress and egress to the patio. Concerned about rain? A rented 30' X 30' or 20' X 40' tent could be installed over this space.
The Orchard & The Fire Pit
Adjacent to the patio and pavilion, our orchard contains a variety of established fruit trees. A rented 10' X 20' tent installed on the grass could conveniently house a bar or buffet. Have your event dinner set on a long row of tables under the trees in the orchard. The possibilities are endless. Amidst the orchard trees you'll find a fire pit that's great for those chilly late summer nights.
The Front Deck
Our front deck makes a great picture spot, a starting point for your bridal procession or another place for your guests to enjoy each other's company and conversation. The walkway to it, with it's wisteria covered entrance, also provides access to the patio.
Tables and Chairs
Your event rental includes use of our tables and chairs. We have 8 - 5' round tables that seat 8-10; 6 - 30" x 6' rectangular tables and 42 white wooden cushioned folding chairs.
On Site Parking
On site parking is available for up to 150 guests.
Electrical outlets are available on the corner leg of the pavilion and our farm house so power supply can easily be run to the patio area, pergola, orchard or gravel pad.
We supply a portable restroom for your guests to use. Luxury restroom trailers are available to rent from outside vendors at your expense. We can provide the required electrical hook-up for one of these trailers as part of your rental of our facility.
Our venue and it's beautiful landscaping makes a great backdrop for your event photos. In addition, there are lots of scenic spots around Puget Island and a short drive from the farm for photos. Check out our Event Gallery for examples.
Indoor Bridal Ready Suite
We have a bedroom and rec room with full bathroom facilities within our farmhouse that is available as an additional rental for your event. During rental, access is limited to members of the wedding party only (bride, groom, attendants and parents of the bride and groom only). See our Rental page for more information.
Construction is underway on a commercial kitchen facility that we hope to be completed by June 2020. This facility will contain a triple sink with hot/cold running water, a separate hand washing station, a gas range, refrigerator and lots of counter space. This kitchen will be available to use for your event for an additional rental charge.
